The Disability Dating Survey

We are preparing a member survey on disclosure timing, accessibility on dating apps, first-date venues and safety. It is not open yet. When it closes the results will be published here with the number of respondents, the dates it ran, and the raw count behind every percentage.

A disclosure poll write-up previously appeared on this page. The figures in it were sample content created when the site was built rather than real member polling, so we have taken them down. The explanation is here, along with the questions we are actually asking.

How we run our polls

All polls on this page are run within the DisabilityMatch member community. We post each question to our active membership base and gather responses over a set period, typically two to four weeks.

Results are presented as they stand at the close date of each poll. We publish the total response count and the raw count behind every percentage, and we state that respondents chose to take part rather than being randomly sampled. We do not edit or weight responses to favour any particular outcome.

If a question does not attract enough responses to say anything meaningful, we leave it out rather than stretch it. We would rather publish nothing than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
